What to Have Ready
For a first call, the ideal bundle: the contract or written quote (or a note of what was agreed verbally and when), a list of payments made with dates, dated photographs of the works or defects, key texts and emails with the builder or client, and any expert or certifier documents you hold. Missing pieces are normal β call anyway. The date the problem emerged, and the date works finished, are the two facts that matter most on day one.
